Photo Filters Project, Finish Collages

Learning Target:  Continue to learn about Photoshop basics by using your own personal photos. 

Why:  Use your own photos and apply your knowledge of filters and adjustments to the new Photo Filter Project

      Directions: Use five of your own photos. 

    Photo Filter Project Directions:  Use your five favorites of your own photos. 
  • **Create a new folder in your Visual Design/Photoshop folder called:  Photo Filter Project
  • Move your best five pictures to your new folder
  • Edit all 5 photos with different filters, color adjustments, etc.
  • Save each photo as a .psd, then save as a .jpeg.
  • Give them an appropriate name
  • You should be able to find them later!
  • **Using the snipping tool, snip your folder view (with address and pictures in large view)
    • To get to the snipping tool: Click the Windows/Start button in bottom left corner of monitor. Scroll down to Windows Accessories.  Find Snipping Tool.  Click on New and make selection.
  • Save the snipped folder in your Photo Filter Project as Photo Filter Project.
  • Decide which two filtered photos are your favorite
  • Create a new document (12" by 12")
  • Drag from the vertical and horizontal ruler a guide to divide the page into four sections
  • Top two boxes:  Before and After of your favorite photo
  • Bottom two boxes:  Before and After of your 2nd favorite photo
    • Use CTRL T to resize the pictures to fit into each section (hold shift to keep the correct proportion when resizing)
  • Save the document as "Photo Filter Project" as a .psd and then a .jpg
  • In Google Classroom Community, upload your folder snapshot AND the "Photo Filter Project.jpg" file, add #photofilterbest

  • Add positive comments to three posts
