Explore Illustrator – Ms. Greco will show some features

• Shapes
• Symbols
• Brushes
• Text
• Layering objects

Create a new blank document and include the following practice items:

• Several different shapes
• Add various fill and stroke colors
• Experiment with gradient colors on at least one shape
• Use direct select to change two of them into unique shapes
• Paint with various paint brush tools
• Go to the brush library
• Use at least four different brush styles
• Change stroke color to change brush color
• Add several different objects from the symbols library
• Also use the "spray symbol" tool
• Use the pencil tool
• Draw something on your document
• Write your name with the pencil tool
• Use different colors and stroke thicknesses
• Experiment with other tools as well!
• Export as a .jpeg
