Learning Target: Review basic tools and shortcuts used in Photoshop projects.  This will also be used as part of your Final Portfolio project.

We're wrapping up our time in Photoshop this week.

  • PS Tools - NEW (See Below)
  • Extra Credit: Zombie Project (see end of post)

Assignment: FAVORITE PHOTOSHOP TOOLS/SHORTCUTS

  • Need a title somewhere in the document
  • Need a picture of your favorite or most-often-used shortcut or tool
    • Use the snipping tool to cut out the buttons
  • Add the name of each tool AND a brief description of what the tool does
  • Use a creative but readable font
  • Include a nice background
  • Spelling counts!
  • Save room on the page to add more tools from InDesign and/or Illustrator!

EXTRA CREDIT:  Zombie Project!

Start:

  • Find a scary, high quality background photo (2MP or larger)
  • Cut out a person (yourself or Google image) and place on background (must be a real photograph, not a drawing or cartoon)
  • Find other photos of scars, weird mouth, blood,  etc.
  • Check tutorial for ideas and how to change skin color
  • Blend any objects into your project - see tutorial for help

My Tips/Details about the Tutorial:

  • Step #1
    • Use the quick selection tool instead of the pen tool
    • Click on "refine edge" = "select and mask" and then Output > New layer"
  • Step #9
    • "Blending Mode" is the drop down menu right above your last layer; it probably says "Normal" right now.
  • Save as a .psd and as a .jpeg. Post the .jpeg to Google Classroom #zombietutorial.
